Ellen has extensive experience in foods and has owned her own catering
business for 35 years. Her catering is a 'cut above' the mainstream.
She started this business when catering for world-class jazz concerts.
Other experiences range from parties up to 600 to shipping hors d'oeuvres
overnight across country for top government social events to creating
dinners for friends in cancer treatment.
She has also created a cooking class series that focuses on low-fat
and low-calorie cuisine. This series is offered in private homes.
"It is not easy planning for a party of almost two hundred.
I try to do most of the work myself, but around Washington DC you
can run into the same old things. So, I turned to a close friend,
Ellen Harrington, in my home town of Palo Alto, California. She said,
"Sure, I can help you make it interesting." So, Ellen made
exotic hors d'oeuvres for me, then froze and shipped them overnight.
Forth-eight hours later, my guests were raving about my artichokes
parmesan, crab rounds, Belgian endive Hawaiian, mushrooms tarts, plum
chutney, etc. I just smiled. A hostess never tells her secrets, especially
if that secret is three thousand miles away. Thanks, Ellen."

"We wanted to thank you for your generous donation to the Rotary Club at last year's fund raiser. Your gift of catering our friends' party last Saturday was great. The food was delicious, and the whole experience loads of fun. Thank you again for your wonderful contribution. We really enjoyed it!"
